anyone going to the reptile show in sandiego on june28

wow thats neat that you guys are going to be giving discounts to forum members. im probably going to be buying a new cage so i hope i get it at a little discount if possible....

I'm really wondering what to expect from this show. I will either A) bring so much stuff that I will have to haul all of it back or B) end up wishing I'd brought more.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Reptile Show Prep! And you all wonder why I'm not going this year LOL... It's not alot of fun to think you're gonna be the only one there with $100 fancy misting systems only to have LLLReptile selling a similar thing for $55. Same goes for animals.

Don't forget the Cutting Edge of Herpetoculture Conference happening the 25th-28th. Among others, Philippe de Vosjoli and Kamuran Tepedelen are a couple of the speakers I'm looking forward to hearing.

Also, the show is going to be at the Community Concourse (Golden Hall) which is at the opposite end of the gaslamp district from the main SD Convention Center. Although it's not near as large as the convention center, it will be much bigger than the elbow room only Scottish Rite Center they had it in last year.

Eh, I'm not worried about LLL's Mister Moisture System. All I have to do is do an A/B demo between that POS piston pump and my pump and that will be the end of it. :) I will also have the HabbaMist available as a demo.

I will, however, have a wholesale price list available for them. (Man, I still can't believe anyone would sell that thing without thermal protection! Yet it would appear that a certain "royal" misting company is no longer selling that thing. I wonder why.) :p

Now to work on the East Coast presence! :)

Don't forget that the SD Herp society is going
to have a members expo sale to go along with the "supershow".
you can pick up some great deal there.

Parking for the venue will be quite lame.
It may be better to take the SD Trolly there and back to avoid the mess
Yes, there's going to be hotels available close by.
I suggest that you look around a bit.

I'm looking forward to having a meetup between different people there
see ya there in one form or another.

And if anyone needs to find "Jeweled Chameleons, he'll be the one hovering in front of the Kammer's booth from 10AM till they drag him out kicking and screaming LOL...

hahahaha!
Too bad i won't be able to see that :D
Anybody know when will they have the expo in LA?
The last year at Pomona was canceled:mad:

With any luck, they'll stop putting the vendors through the misery of the IRBA shows and just stop doing them (they charge just as much for booths as the Anaheim show, but do no productive advertising, and have about 20% the attendance). Anaheim will be the biggest show in the LA area which is September 6-7th this year.

I know the guys from the IRBA shows
Well not "know" exactly... but I go to their store and chat.
I'm not sure of their plans or intentions but I do know that
Ray has been very busy with the housing projects.

Yes, I couldn't agree more about the lack of advertising
and the resulting low turnouts. I offered my help years back
and was told that "they were fine".

This opened up...
if not prepared the bed for romey's show.

Interesting. I hadn't thought of checking out the parking at the new venue since the old lot looked so big.

Any hotel recommendations? I've been poking around, but need to get serious about it!
