Anyone hear from Kammerflage Kameleons?

Has anyone heard from these guys lately? I placed an order for a chameleon almost a couple of weeks ago from their website and still haven't heard anything back - except for my paypal transfer notice. I've emailed them a few times, and left voicemails, but nothing. I saw that they are based in Corona, CA which is right around where some of the wildfires are and I just hope that they are alright. I've been so worried - this is bringing a whole new meaning of Chameleon stress to me.

The only thing I've seen is the note on their homepage about suffering computer crashes and being unable to retrieve e-mail sent prior to Nov. 7. But if you've e-mailed them since then, that shouldn't be germane... I hope everything's all right with them and their operation, too. My beloved Ambilobe is a Kammerflage Kreation...

A lot of people who sell chameleons ship them at night and won't ship unless the temps are above 30 F. Being that you are from Ohio and it is November that could be the problem. The fact that you have contacted them and have had no reply isn't cool though.

The Kammers have run into some difficulties lately. I would continue to be patient. I know of a couple of other people who are getting a bit concerned waiting on orders as well. Keep up the calling and the emails and you should eventually hear back!

What did you order from them?

I ordered one of Paladin's male babies - 50% Ambilobe x 18.75% Ambanja x 12.5% Nosy Be x 12.5% Sambava x 6.25% Maroantsetra. I fell in absolute love w Paladin, he has to be the most awesome looking chameleon ever. I'm in no rush, but just want to know that everything's ok.

i have bought from them and they were great and very friendly but they always have problems with the whole operation over there i think they should look in to a diffrerant computer company but if your money was taken you will get what you paid for

They took about a month to telephone me in response to an inquiry. While the message they left for me sounded friendly and appologetic, I went with someone more immediately responsive - but I wasnt feeling patient.

they ordinarily very quick and responsive.
All my chams, with exception of 1, are actually from Kammers.

but, the string of bad luck and computer crashes seem to get a better hold of them.
I have difficulty trying to contact Liddy since August to ask about the age of amandil's baby i purchased.

Just like Sandra, I give up.

I know for sure that they will go to Pomona reptile show this January.
With this rate, you might get a better chance to talk to them if you go to the show and meet them in person.

No Kammers no can do...

I emailed them a little over a week ago with a request to purchase. I have never heard back...Too bad...Since then will be purchasing from someone else.
I do hope they are okay..

they're around

I had called a couple of times 2 weeks ago and emailed too, then I got a call back from Liddy Wednesday night saying they had some personal issues, and computer problems. She was trying to sift through the messages, and emails as soon as possible. She was very apologetic, and sweet. I hope to get one of her Sambavas at the SuperShow in Jan.

Thanks, good to hear that they're still around. Unfortunately the only good day temperature wise to ship to Cleveland in the next couple of weeks will be on Monday. Here's hoping they get though a lot of work this weekend...

Obviously its practically a crime against humanity to say anything bad about them... But I was looking at buying a cham from them and got no response to an email for over a month.. If i'm looking to make a major purchase, and I don't get an email response within 24 hours or so, that person isn't getting my money... Thats where the customer service bar is at these days. Its a shame that they are having these problems, but I imagine its cost them far more money than a modern computer and backup system, and a smart phone would cost.

I finally heard back from Liddy, and my baby is going to arrive tomorrow morning!!! She really was one of the nicest people to talk to and was so sorry about the delay. They really had the perfect storm of problems but are back on there feet and returning the hundreds and hundreds of emails they got.
I'm so excited for tomorrow morning!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I figured that what happened.
They usually are fast in responding.
Good to hear Paladin's baby is coming your way.
you'll love him/her.

As usual, i suggest a fecal float test for all new chameleons.
Also, quarantine him/her away from your other chameleons (if you have one) to avoid cross infection, in case the new baby have parasites.

The Paladin's baby will probably be healthy; but, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
