Anyone use Repashy calcium?

I got some Repashy calcium plus, it says on the instructions dust with every meal, but it says nothing about having or not having D3 in it, anyone know?

BUT, there was a thread a few weeks ago discussing daily use of one of the Repashy products, that I think was this, and that the D3 amount was small enough to use every day. Hopefully someone can remind us.

Alot of people do use it daily and the key word is "concentration", meaning how much d3 is in it?. There are supplements that contain very high levels of d3 and therefore should be used sparingly. There are others that are very low and therefore, even if used daily, might not amount to the one which is only suggested to use twice a month. You must also factor in how much outdoor time your chameleons get everyday, week, etc. I do not use d3 at all as I live in Florida and my chameleons get year round natural uvb. I know Kammerflage Kreations who are a very respectable breeder, who have been around for over 30yrs plus highly recommend this as a daily supplement. Again, I think you have to factor in other variables such as natural uvb.

Vitamin D3 is cholecalciferol. Is that one o the ingredients on the label?
Edit, I found this page and if it's the same stuff, it states that it has Vit D3.

Yea, it says Vitamin D3 Supplement, doesent say how much though. It says above the instructions "Our all in one calcium supplement with added vitamins trace minerals, and carotenoids for dusting insects. No need for a seperate vitamin supplement."

Carol posted about Kammerflage Kreations that have reported using it daily with success. They had done this for at least two years as a daily source of calcium. If I had not recently purchased a big bottle of calcium without D3, and a medium bottle of calcium with D3 and Reptivite without D3, I would just be using Repashy Calcium Plus every day. I would certainly trust Kammers.

To be clear, you are saying that by using this product you would not have to dust/supplement with D3 or a multivitamin twice a month?

Yes, that is true. It is an all in one supplement. No need for added D3 or the Vitimin. I grilled Briana and Krammer's about it since it sounded too good to be true. But they did a test period of 3 years before they would recommend it and their Chams did great. She made me a believer and I love it.

I have not used it. I prefer sticky tongue farm products, but in general I do not trust all-in-one supplements. I believe we cannot develop the perfect recipe for all reptiles. We would probably be missing some essential ingredients for chams or over dosing them with unnecessary stuff. This is Just my opinion.
More specific products and well gutloaded feeders are the key for healthy chams.

Supplements are meant to supply what you do not get or do not get enough in your meals. So I can agree that gutloading is more important. But gutloading may not supply all the nutritional needs. That is why supplements are often needed.

I use this supplement every other day on my panthers, and had previously used it on my Yemen, also with success. I find it a lot easier than the old regimen of switching vitamin/D3 every week.

It's not targeted for all reptiles and works very well for Panther chameleons, they have a different concentration for montanes. Certainly a good gut load is still essential. Like said above the Kammers tested it for 3yrs on a group of panthers and only recommend it because it works... From what I've found this is longest controlled test on a group of breeding Panther chameleons for any supplement regime. I use it 3x a week for my panthers and the Lo D version 1x a week for montanes when they aren't getting real sun during the summer. Has been over a year now since adopting this supplement schedule for the panthers and I haven't seen any adverse effects, less time since using on the quads since they spent the spring outside but seems to work for them as well.

Rapashy calcium plus is a safe product. I use it every other feeding. I gutload my feeders so when I'm feeding insects that are not dusted they are still full of good stuff.
I still do give out calcium with D3 about once every 20-30 days for all my panthers that are housed inside. But the panthers that I house outside get no d3 ever while being outside. Only straight calcium.

Good to know. I was only giving my opinion. Every keeper/breeder has his methods and we are all learning. :)
I am happy with the supplements we use and we try to gut load insects with our own dry and wet mix to make sure they get most of the minerals and vits through feeders apart of D3 which is given by UV lights at the right range for each of the species we keep at home and measured with solarmeter and sometimes we give d3 with the calcium. Sometimes we are lucky and they can get real sun. It is working for me. I dust the insects with calcium obviously, but d3 supplement is used sparingly. Most of my chams are montane.

I've been using Repashy Calcium Plus for the past two years with DAILY feeding on three of my panthers as the ONLY supplement with NO ill effects on my panthers.

I had an opportunity to speak at length with Alan on Repashy's Calcium Plus and have walked away feeling very confident that I am providing the very best supplement for my panthers from babies to regular use as adults.

I do not plan on using another brand nor am I going to.

It's good that you are asking questions and doing your research. In the end, it up to you. I went straight to the source (Ed Krammer and Alan Repashy).
