Anything wrong with setup?

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male veiled, 1 year, been in my care since February.
Handling - When it is nice outside.
Feeding - Crickets, Dubia's, occasional super. I was offering about 8-9 crickets every other day or an adult dubia but he looked a little skinny so I upped it to 12 crickets every other day. Gut loaded with oranges, greens, and some other veggies and fruits.
Supplements - Repticalcium w/o D3 every feeding except when giving d3 or vitamins, Repticalcium w/ D3 twice a month, zoomed reptivite w/ d3 once a month.
Watering - Hand mist as often as possible. Some days when I am working days he only gets misted maybe once or twice in the afternoon, other days up to 5 times. Also use a dripper system but not recently because I need to fix my drainage problem. Catch pan under plant has a crack in it.
Fecal Description - Firm dark brown poo with white urates. No yellow or orange.
History - Has a small lump on right rear thigh but vet says it is nothing, we got a sample. I got him from a boy who couldn't care for him anymore and had left him at the reptile store volunteer at in a screen cage with only a couple plastic fake vines.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Custom built wood/particle board and screen. Made from an old entertainment center. I just found green mildew growing on the wood on the outside of the cage right below the door and it is swelling, I will probably have to get a new cage.
Lighting - 100w house bulb, reptisun 10.0 linear set 20" from basking spot.
Temperature - 90-70 degrees Fahrenheit, unfortunately it is summer and my house doesn't get below 70 even with air conditioning.
Humidity - 50%-99%, hygrometer
Plants - Umbrella tree and small palm.
Placement - livingroom, not very busy. There is a curtain on one door of the cage for privacy. Top is at about 5'.
Location - New Hampshire, New England, USA

Current Problem - Leo is brown and yellow unless sleeping or outside where he brightens up. I was feeding him 8-9 crickets every other day but was told to feed him more so I am now offering him 12 crickets every other day but he has not been eating all of them. He only ate 6 today and last time 9.

Everything you are doing sounds good to me (except the mildew :p)
My male veiled was always darker browns/oranges/yellows as opposed to green as well and lighter greens splashed in there at night like your Leo.
I think this may be normal.

The only reason I was ever able to think of for why he was darker was trying to absorb more heat from his heat bulb when basking.
