Anywhere other than petco?

My veiled chameleon is only around 4 months, male, and still eats a lot. Every 3 days we have to go to petco for crickets and I hate going there, they sell 2 week old veiled chameleons and can’t even keep betta fish alive, but anyway, I would love to stop crickets entirely one day, but atm it just isn’t really possible. So is there anywhere online (so we won’t have to go to petco as I said I HATE petco) that sells small amounts of crickets, preferably with free shipping?? ?? there probably isn’t but any suggestions are appreciated!!

Josh's Frog's has banded crickets. Not sure how many is too much for you but I think they have 72 and 250 count.
Yeah that’s more what I need. The only thing is the shipping. WHY WHY WHY are all the places online for insects literally in the other side of the United States. I’m in Washington state and shipping from joshs frogs doubles the cost!! Although actually... petco is basically just as expensive so maybe i can convince my parents to get em!

Josh's is worth it. The banded crickets stay alive much longer. With Petco they all die off and there's higher risk for parasite infection due to cross contamination (they put crickets into cages with reptiles, the reptile has a parasite, poops, crickets interact with poop, reptile is sold or dies, crickets get put back into the bin).

I've heard good things about Ghanns too!

Find a distributor that is close to your state... Right now shipping is crazy. I order from a distributor in my state. Did priority mail on one order and it took 2 weeks instead of the normal 4 days. Then did fed ex 2 day delivery and it took 7... Sooo if you order closer to you I think it is better right now since shipping is cray cray.

Where in Washington. I'm a bit north of Seattle and might be able to help with a well stocked pet store. Aside from that Rainbow Mealworms is usually pretty good shipping up here though a little slower the last few months with the covid s$%t.

That is who I order through. Seems like trying to get through the LA hub has been a total nightmare for me though and I am only 10 hours north of them.

If you feel like a bit of a drive. Bridges in Snohomish is always well stocked. I am there weekly for crickets. They also have horn worms and silk worms. Just have to catch them when the shipment comes in before they get too big.

Buy the 3/4 inch crickets from Joshs Frogs and when they start chirping, they’re ready to mate. Pop a Tupperware dish with moist soil in the cricket cage and they’ll lay eggs and if you keep the Tupperware in a warm closet for about a week and a half, you’ll have baby crickets. They’ll take a few weeks to be big enough for a 4 month old veiled tho. But. Easy process

Ditch the crickets all toogether and switch to silkworms silly! ?
BEST feeder
Black soilder fly larvae
Hornworms
Super or wax worms for treats

I HATE PETCO AND CRICKETS✊✊✊
I wish I could ditch crickets. But it’s not really realistic because he eats a lot and shipping every where is terrible super slow and expensive so yeah. Although we actually do have lots of BSFL, a few dubia, wax and supers. (Other than crickets).

Have you thought about starting a roach colony? They aren’t as gross as you think and you’ll never run out of feeders again.

Josh's Frogs is very reliable and has quick shipping. They have lots of feeders and options to choose from. I love them and highly recommend them if you don't use them already.

I just ordered springtails from Josh's and they have a big notice at the top of their site that they aren't using USPS right now for their live shipments. So the options are 2 day and overnight.
