Anywhere other than petco?

I wish I could ditch crickets. But it’s not really realistic because he eats a lot and shipping every where is terrible super slow and expensive so yeah. Although actually do have lots of BSFL, a few dubia, wax and supers. (Other than crickets).
There are plenty of places online that will ship, your west coast?i think my guy is scared of dubias, wont go near em =<

Have you thought about starting a roach colony? They aren’t as gross as you think and you’ll never run out of feeders again.
Yeah I have actually. But we we are actually just about to move and trying to not get too much new stuff that we have to pack. (How cold can roaches be if they are a breeding colony??)

Min 90F. Max is about 105. They will require a heat mat.

What is your current price per cricket at petco and how many a week?

Ten days ago I ordered 500 crickets. With the exception of those that my beardie feasted on, I still have a large bin full of seemingly healthy little crickets.
Ok! If they have 250 available maybe we can order there. Petco crickets die quick. In 2-3 days 5 or 6 dead.

There was a die off of about 100 crickets towards the end. I keep them on a layer of vermiculite in a huge plastic tote with a ventilated lid. I’m going to add some ventilation the the sides of the bin in the hopes it helps reduce their odor.

While I agree with having the side ventilation, why do you have them on vermiculite? That's probably what's causing the odor, I neverrr has odor from ghanns crickets.

In my case, vermiculite cut down on the smell considerably. Not by a little, but a huge amount. You need to focus on the final cost per cricket and not cost of each part. Shipping to the store is part of the price you are paying.

Banded crickets like at Ghann will last with proper feeding, until they die of old age at 72 days.

Making sure you keep the Dermestid beetle/larva in with the crickets, they eat the dead cutting down on smell.

Do the crickets from ghanns come with the bugs that eat the dead crickets??
