Appropriate temp.

i have a 3 month old baby male veiled chameleon. The temperature was mid 90s and I noticed he had his mouth open frequently so I put a lower watt bulb in. It's not between 80-83 in the basking spot. Is that appropriate for a baby? He's been a little darker since I put a lower watt bulb in, kinda a darker greenish. Thanks

Yeah I did that, he's just been a lot darker since I changed the bulb.

That's the basking temps I keep for a 3 month old but a couple degrees higher would be ok. What are you using to check the temps? You might find my blog for new keepers helpful. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blo...-with-young-veiled-or-panther-chameleons.325/
