AquaZamp RainDome vs Mist King Starter Kit

If I have my mistking nozzle misting directly on top of plants that I have at the top of my cage, wouldn't this produce a rain effect also with large drops from the leaves?

Yes, its actually a good idea. I kind of do something similar but it wasn't on purpose. My umbrella plant is rather large and i had to trim it to get it from over stuffing the lower/mid part of the enclosure, but I left it tall. So when i mist the top leaves catch the mist and it drips down to branches etc...

I got lucky on that umbrella plant though my other ones are about 1ft shorter.

I think I will go to craft store and find some artificial vines w/leafs on them and maybe wrap around the top branches in another enclosure to get a similar affect. The leafs would collect the mist and drip them down thru the enclosure. Would solve my issue of not having enuff space for a big rain dome up top! Thanks, I was not looking at the big picture, and that solution is cheaper and more natural, and does not require anything on top.

Yeah I ended up getting online a Hagen Exo Terra Plastic Terrarium Plant and and some Fluker's Pothos Repta Vines. I stuck the Hagen Exo Terra Plastic Terrarium Plant in the upper left corner and one of the nozzles I have mists on it and it collects a lot of water dripping down. The chams love it and are always drinking from it.

I made a mistking "rain attachment" (as it is just tubing and connectors supporting a nozzle) and it did not give me the desired result.

It also took up too much room on the cage, no matter how I positioned it.

I think I would have the same spacing issue with the aquazamp raindome, though Im sure it works better.

You could fab a AZ raindome at home with a spare tupperware.

The best way Ive found to utilize my MK, is to have a pothos at the top of the cage, have the nozzles hit the pothos, and "rain" will fall down.

You also get the benefit of the "overspray" of the fine mist that doesnt get turned into "rain" cooling things off, and coating a ton of surface area with a little water, driving RH levels up.
This method is also all inside the cage, so having everything fit on top of the enclosure isnt an issue.

AquaZamp has a new LowProfile RainDome that features two nozzle within the dome. The RainDome is made of black ABS plastic and is made via injection molding.

Photos coming soon. If you've talked to us at the shows lately, you've seen it. They were selling like hot cakes in San Diego....
