are superworms safe?

a friend told me they may bind up my panthers digestive track and might bite him inside.I've thought about cutting the head off super worms before feeding.So far I've only fed him hornworms and crickets but because of cold temperatures here in Pa I've only found crickets superworms and dubia for sale and I won't have dubia in my home.

I use superworms and they are safe. They can bite so if you have a young, sick or old cham just smash the head before feeding.

They pretty much die as soon as they hit water. If your lizard chews, there is no problem. It does help if the animal shoots for the head area though as sometimes they will try and grab the lizards face when shot by the tail. No need to smash jaws unless you really want to. It will make them leak nasty sticky liquid though.

Superworms are actually recommended over mealworms because they are much easier to digest and are nutritionally superior when gutloaded well.

Same as crickets. Fresh greens, veggies, and fruits. A lot of people keep them in bran or oats as well. (substrate.)

There really is no reason to smash them. I feed Supers 2X weekly to my crew for over 4 years with no issues at all. I gutload them with dark leafy greens, sweet potatoes, carrots, etc. Use things that are slightly less "wet" or you will create moldy Superworm bedding. You can also throw in cricket crack/cricket food.
