Hi all. I'm new here. I have 3 chameleons right now, all veiled. I have one large male who is almost 2 years old, he's happy and healthy. So, my husband and I decided to get some more! Well, the very next day someone had posted on Craigslist about young chameleons for sale. Well, when we got there she handed them to us in a bowl and they seemed okay buy something didn't seem right. So, we went home and set everything up(glass cage, soft bottom) and that's when I realized it...their legs are just...so sad. Basically going the wrong direction!!!!  I'm just hoping there is a way to save these poor things :( and yes the woman's information was passed along and she is under investigation as we speak! Justice. Anyways, can I save these babies??!!

fill out as much as you can and if possible include some good clear pictures of the problem areas/extremities.

Welcome to the forums. This is a great place to learn about chameleons and meet other chameleon keepers. I keep veileds and they are awesome chameleons to keep. I love mine so much and they show such great personalities. You can see my veileds here. https://www.chameleonforums.com/my-beautiful-veileds-142194/
Those poor baby. I am so glad that you took them in. If you could post some photos of them that would be very helpful. It sounds like they have MBD. Here's some really great info on MBD and how to fix it. https://www.chameleonforums.com/wha...ase-mbd-looks-like-how-happens-how-fix-95071/
Filling out the form above would also be very helpful. One of the best things you can do for these babies is get them allot of outside time in a screen enclosures. The natural UVB works wonders. They don't need to be in the direct sun to get UBV. They get plenty in the shade. You don't want to cook them. You also need to make sure you have the proper UVB lights and supplements. That's where filling in the forum is very helpful. This is how I have had success raising my veileds over the years. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blo...-keepers-young-veiled-panther-chameleons.html

Sad moment

As it turns out, they do have mbd. The female was past help and she had to be put to sleep, the male I'd beginning first stages of healing and is looking better. Anyone have tips to help healing go as smoothly as possible?

I am sorry to hear about your female. The link above has some excellent info about MBD. If you live in a warm climate outside time is excellent.
