A client calls me says his cham is choking because it swallowed water in the shower. My methods are a little extreme to tell a civilian with no veterinarian experience to do does any one have any home remedy's or tricks to solve this issue ????

what the hell was cham doing in the shower in the first place???

People do give chams showers this is not abnormal if he was in Madagascar and the storms come he would be getting one hell of a shower there yah know. i give my chams showers all the time just in a safe manner with a special branch for them to sit on. Regardless this does not help my clients issue.

Yeah, I know what you mean how safe showers can be given. Monty sometimes looks dehydrated (he now drinks just fine) so I bring him in and gently shower him with warm water, bouncing off the wall like people say to do.

Perhaps they got a big water drop into the chameleon's airways? I remember once I squirted a tiny bit of water into Monty's mouth and then he was "sneezing" for around a couple seconds, then stopped. Maybe I got some in his airway. I found out you're not really supposed to squirt lots of water into their mouth unless they lap it up or something.

Maybe it swallowed some the wrong way.
