Auto feeder

I saw one of those auto feeder cup for fish in the aquarium store.

It is basically a plastic tube with a timer so you can set its bottom to open and close causing whatever inside the tube to fall out.
I wonder if I can put lots of dusted crickets inside of the tube...
and make it an auto feeder.. when you need to have a vacation for 3 days or shorter..

anybody ever try this idea?

haha funny to mention this because ive actually thought about a good auto feeding device. What i think would really work are these.

You could put like 8 crix and some mealies or somthin and some gutload in each compartment and it would turn each day, release each portion. Only problem is by day 3, the dusted bugs that havnt been eaten will have probably lost all their dust. those feeders come in 3,4,and 6 day feeders as well. I considered trying it out and if it didn't work just return it lol. Walmart will take back anything.

If you're gone for three days or shorter, you don't need to worry about feeding your chameleon at all.
There's the easiest, most convenient and cheapest solution!:)

Pretty cool idea, just to make sure there is a new supply of feeders released into the enclosure each day...I like it. Maybe not for my Cham, but for my other lizards...cool
Pity we don't have a Wallmart here!:(
Cheers
Scott.

Pretty cool, but I'd need 8 of them and it would be about $500! I can bribe a friend to come over every other day with a bottle of tequila:)

well then what you could do is possibly along with their gut load put a carot in the dust then put the carrot in so they somewhat get the minerals, I'm not sure this would work but better than nothing, right?
