Automatic Misting on a Timer

Since I don't want to mist the enclosure while Jack is sleeping, I bought a power strip with timer capabilities. The lights are on the timer too. My mister has it's own capabilities to set it every 1, 3, 6 or 12 hours. My preference is that the enclosure warms up a bit in the morning before the misting session. Is this possible? Does anyone have a workaround? Does the mister mist right when the timer clicks to on?

What kind of mist system do you have? I know some mist systems like mistking and climist have a controller that you can set specific misting times. Ex: mist for 3 minutes at 11:30am, 2:00pm and so on.

Yes, mine can do that (zoo med). I just meant if I put the mister on the timer with the lights, will the mister mist right away at 7am and then 3 hours later (or whatever I set it for)? Or is there a way to set the mister and timer so that when the timer from the plug clicks on the mister will wait an hour or so for things to warm up?

Or am I being too paranoid?

That I am not sure about. I'm not sure how the zoomed timer works as I have never used one. I am still manually turning lights on and off and hand misting until I set up the adult enclosure for my cham.

I would play around with it and see what happens. Worse case if you cant work the lights and mister on the same timer you can get a separate timer for the mister and set it up to spray when you want.

Oh yeah! Duh! Separate timer would work great. I'm so anxious about the little guy, my brain doesn't seem to be functioning properly. LOL
Thanks!
