Baby Ambilobe Panther Chameleon Help Please!!!

Hello, I’m kind of new to these forums so I’m sorry if I’m not giving enough information. This isn’t my first chameleon but it is my first 3 month old chameleon and I feel like something is wrong. I’ve read that baby chameleons should be eating a lot but I think this whole day she’s only eat 5. I have her basking light and uvb light and I have misted today. She hasn’t drunken any water that I have seen

Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?

Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?

Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?

Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?

Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?

Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?

History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.


Cage Info:

Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?

Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?

Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?

Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?

Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?

Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?

Location - Where are you geographically located?


Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

I mean, if it was shipped to you and you got it a day or two ago, it might be totally understandable that the little one is stressed and taking some time to figure out the new environment and routine. Yeah thats what I was thinking. I just received her today this morning at 10:30 am. I think she is just stressed about being boxed and shipped over night but I just want to make sure that’s something that usually happens to chameleons. She’s a female Ambilobe Panther Chameleon. 3 months old like I said

When I received my veiled he was only 3 month old, I never saw him eat and I was worried too. I fed him so many crickets that I really wasn’t sure if he was eating or not, cause there always was left over (a lot) 3 month later... he’s still here, no sign of illness and getting bigger by the day

Give the cham a few days. Make sure the enclosure has a lot of plants and foliage to hide in. Use a feeder cup to monitor food intake rather than free range feeding.
