Baby Ambilobe Panther Sexing Help!!! Please

Hello all! New to the forum and chameleon owner world. I love my new pet. Please help me figure out if it is a boy or girl. I was told it was a male from an experience breeder, but it is very hard at this age for anyone. The chameleon was born on 12/12/12. Just over 2 months old. Young for a sale, but after this first week of being here, it has been great. Eating and drinking well, and seems "at home" (same sleeping spot, etc....) He is eating small to medium crickets that have been gut loaded, and I just received silk worms for him as well.

does the bulge usually show this small? At what age should a baby ambilobe panther show its "bulge". The breeder had picked 6 he thought were males out of about 20 of his babies. I had chosen this one out of the 6. However, I was so caught up in how cool his/her colors were I did not compare the tail to the rest and just assumed male.

It may be worth the 1hr trip to see him among the rest of the babies to really compare if his tail is thick/thicker???? Any thoughts? confirmation of male/female?

any input????????

First off thanks for help in trying to identify my first baby chameleon's sex. I sent updated pics to the breeder and he confirmed female. I will be going meet up with him sat to exchange for a male.

second a quick question. I noticed this baby panther loves to sit right under the uvb light. I have the 18" tropical 5.0 uvb tube.

Would putting a uvb tube light going vertical along the back of the cage vertical be a bad idea?

In my biology major experience I have learned that in most cases in the animal kingdom, an animal that relies on the sunshine usually uses it for energy and color. Im hopefully assuming correct when I say that the uvb helps in developing the color on the skin. So would adding an extra light perhaps help intensify colors in long run?

Adding a light down the side could perhaps be unatural and stress out a chameleon perhaps and so maybe adding a second one on top would be an only option? Thoughts? Experience more so than thoughts preferred? :)

Thanks!
