No. These are the very first babies from the third bloodline.

I am a novice chameleon owner. I have had a male veiled for about 6 weeks and I would feel overwhelmed to have a Gracilior female mostly due to the egg-laying thing.

If you have only had your veiled for 6 weeks, I think you are wise to wait for your next cham. Chameleons have many things in common but there are a lot of differences to adjust to. The veiled and the gracilior are pretty far apart in their needs for temps, humidity and general care. Hang in there, you may be ready before you know it.

That would be quite the coincidence!

Your boy is from a clutch produced by a female imported gravid in June of 2016. The little blue girl in my photo is from a female imported in December 2014 bred to a male imported in February 2015. It is possible if they were collected from the same area.

The mother of your boy is a very different color than the blue female above. She is stunning, but a different color.

I got into a lot of trouble here on this forum when as a novice with less than two months experience with a PetSmart veiled, I bought my first wild caught quad. When criticized for having the audacity to buy--as a novice--such a rare and supposedly difficult species, I made the claim that keeping quads or any other chameleon wasn't rocket science as long as you gave them what they needed.

I still have those first two old male quads that came in that horrible December 2014 import. How many of that December shipment do you still have Laurie?

I continue to believe keeping any chameleon isn't rocket science as long as you give them what they need.
