Baby chameleon not drinking off leaves

I just bought a baby chameleon 2 days ago. I spray the entire cage 3 to 4 times a day. Qnd he womt drink off the leaves. Finally today I notice if I take a lid off my cup and spray the lid he will drink. But he hates being sprayed directly. Warm water or not. He tries to hide in the corner as i spray his cage... is this normal?

He's more and likely stressed. He may be drinking without you knowing, give him a week or two to get comfortable in his enclosure.

100% normal behavior, when I mist my hatchlings they act like I sprayed them with acid!

If the lid is working I see no reason to stop it.

What are you calling a baby? 1mo? 2mo? When they are that small they require very little water so they don’t have to drink much to stay hydrated. I’ll try to upload a vid of how my baby veilds react to a misting...

He's about 2 months

That’s about the same age as these, see if yours react the same way...

Yes exactly like that lol plus he use to be in a small cage like yours in the past store. But now he is in a much bigger one.

Yep they are growing up fast. I’m dividing them into two groups based on size and moving them into bigger containers this week. Some of the bigger ones are starting to show some aggression...
