baby chameleon not eating but trying

i got my baby chameleon two days ago and the lady said he did eat a few crickets the day i bought him, i did some research and found out they need a little while to get comfortable before they start really eating and such, my chameleon tried eating yesterday but was sticking his tongue on the see threw plastic container so i tipped it over a bit and he walked away because he was scared, so this morning he went over to the plastic container with small crickets in it and he even stood above the edge and looked at the crickets and i thought he was gonna eat but after a few hours of leaving and coming i noticed he didnt eat any crickets so maybe you guys can explain how i can help him feel more comfortable with me and eating and such

You need to use an opaque container to begin with. I'm not a fan of container feeding so I'm going to leave it to mothers to offer you suggestions.

I used a bird feeder for mine for a while. A semi circle cup but I love my feeder cup from Nick Barta!
