hi on boxin day my chams hatched . 14 of them . They are yemons they are in a exo terra viv heat is at 86 durin day and 72 at night have uv and set up is all correct but the babys are tiny and hardly move . I lost one last night but some of the others i see improvement in as started eating and eyes have now open but they look small . I spray down the leaves a few times a day to keep humidity up and put in tiny calcium dusted crickets they just look so tiny and hardly move any help or advice be thankfull . They incubated for 5months

5 months is very early-BUT GET YOUR HEAT DOWN-that is too hot. You want to be no higher than 80.

It might be that they just aren't strong enough to make it. Only time will tell. If you don't mind me asking, how on earth did you get them to hatch so soon? What Temp did you incubate them at?

incubate at 27. This is not first batch the last ones hatched after about 5. And half months and were all fine and healthy apart from two that had clef lip but are still fine . I got told they can hatch any time between 4 and 9 months ?

not sure where i can get fruit flys from . I have not seen them drink lately i do try dripin water on there mouths to try help but not working . My local pet shops dont sell them flys any where i can get them from ? And i did put crickets that were to big so took them out and use number 1s now x

Oh, is this a second clutch from retained sperm? That might be why they're not doing so well. Ah, don't listen to me, I'm probably no help.

Edit: wait are you using pin heads? You should look online for fruit flies.

I've seen petsmart with fruit flies in a tube. Try maybe Petco?

as for the 5 month incubation temp mine took 5 months 17 days and are all doing fine so it might just be the temp and food

What brand and type (spiral, compact, long linear tube) UVB light are you using?

Was the female on medication at all?

it happens the same thing to me!

26 days ago 11 clutched, i still have 6 alive, with closed eyes, very weak, they don't eat but they drink...

i did everything i can, but i don't think they survive...

Good luck with your babys

You could try spraying them with a pedialyte water mix. At least that will help them build some strength. At least til you can get approp sized insects.

get a zoo med repti fogger, works wonders you can keep humidity at 80 with it barly turned on and suddenly urates turn bright white its worth it. if they get hydrated enough they may start to eat keep offering them food. g/l
