Baby Crib

I started my babies in the usual, small, glass aquarium but it is smaller than "the norm". My eggs haven't all hatched yet so these are spanking new Veileds. I moved them to a screen cage about 36x24x24 or so because they were already on top of each other with only 6 chams in the 5 gallon aquarium and I have about 18 more coming. Nice and roomy, but the flightless fruit flies are definitely more spread out now and not as accessible, though everything else seems better.

I would sure like to hear how you start yours out. Does anyone start them directly in a screen cage and does that seem to work fine with flightless fruit flies?

Thanks

ya i started in a screen cage and they are all eating and the fruit flys do get out of my screen but i have so many jars of them in there for them they still find plenty. if you send me you email i can send you pics of my baby inclosure that was gonna be for my baby meller but it likes it out side so much i couldent bring it back inside and good news cause my jackson dropped 22 babys right after i finished the cage:D. i now have only 4 and the cage is huge for them and they still eat fine. so any questions feel free to ask.
