Baby Enclosures

What does everybody keep their baby chams in? Baby as in 1-2 months old. Pics would be fantastic.

Thanks

I use the cheapest sterlite or walmart brand plastic bins I can find at that time. I cut out the top and hot glue in screen. I also cut a nice square hole out of one end of the bin and hot glue screen in that opening also. So that the air doesnt get stagnant after the frequent mistings. My cages/bins will usually be dry after about an hr after misting. You dont want those babies sitting in a wet enviroment all the time. The bins I use for newly hatched are about 18" long 16" high and 12" deep. Those are big enuff to hold about 10 newly hatched babies. At about a month old you'll want to start seperating them into size approp groups.

Im using 12x12 exoterra enclosures. Im housing 5 in each. I am also using 2 liter coke bottles with the top cut off for a couple of the weaker ones so they can be kept solo. Hope this helps.
sorry I missed the 2 month old part. Coke bottles wont work for those guys.

I had my baby in a screen enclosure for about a week but he started to sleep during the day. I was advised to put him in a plastic tub or aquarium. This was yesterday. As soon as I was told to change his cage I did. The only thing I had on hand was a ten gallon cage. He is now setup in there but I worry about ventilation. I really like the tub idea with the window on the side. I don't think it would be a good idea to move him into yet another cage so I guess I will keep him in the tank for now. At what age do you think he could be moved back into the screen enclosure?

To be honest I'd say 3 months. I kept some hatchlings I got earlier this yr in their tub til the 3 month mark. They just got a basking light at that time. I dont use basking lights on my bins. Ive got them in the smallest repti-beeze they make and its still huuuge for them but they can find their food so thats all that matters.

My clutches that hatched will be in tubs until 3 months. In screen cages your gonna lose 1/2 or more of their feeders before they can hunt them down. A pin can go right thru a screen cage hole. So can ff's.

I know that the ff's can go through the screen! I kept finding them in strange places all around my house! Now that I moved my little guy to an aquarium I haven't found any so he is not losing food anymore.

I guess in about 1 month my guy can go back to the screen cage or until he is eating food larger than pinheads.

I am keeping babies in Exo-terra nanos. 3-4 per enclosure for smaller species, and 2 per enclosure for larger babies.

Thanks for the link, I had trouble finding it while searching for it. I'd love to see the inside of the baby bins, do you have any pics of that?
