baby fell about 6 ft

I have a 2 month old veiled and i put him in the ficus tree next to his enclosure to clean his cage out...while i wasnt looking the little rascal decided to climb up the blinds next to the tree and see how high he could get. When i went to go and grab him he got freaked out and fell about 6 feet onto some pretty soft carpet. He seemed ok when i got him up, he was just a really dark color. He was very mad and so i put him back in his enclosure. I know that veiled chameleons are a very hardy species but was just wondering if somebody could let me know if something similar has happened to them. Like I said, he was fine when i put him back.

most likely that fall will hurt you longer than he:D
mine had a "death drop" some months ago, i was a wreck..
he was fine. observe him very closely.
if you can get some very close-ups and post them.
look at his limbs for straightness...

but he is prolly fine.:D

He is most likely fine, especially if he landed on carpet. They are built to take falls....not that we want them to. I've had several babies fall on hardwood, never had an injury from it.

Thanks for the info guys! yup, he's fine, limbs are straight and he is drinking and eating and basking as usual! I'll just make sure to move the tree so he can't escape:D
