Baby Jackson's Chameleon Never Seems to Cheer Up!!!

I have an update:

Thank you SO much for the suggestions, I am so glad I found the Forums. I have now bought a fogger and another light to make the cage more lit up. I am looking for plastic sheets now, finding out where I can find them. As for misting, I am now misting him when I turn on the lights (8 AM), when I turn off the lights (around 7:30-8 PM), and then later at night, around 11 PM. Once the fogger gets here I will be running that pretty much all night. I also am keeping the room at 50-65 degrees, so he has the nighttime drop. During the daytime it is usually around 70-80. I am also going to try and figure out supplements because I think what I am doing right now is wrong, so I will be taking any of your suggestions. PLEASE tell me if I need to fix anything else, I am worried for the little guy. His colors have not changed, he is still VERY dark. This morning/afternoon (11:30-1) he has been at the very bottom of the cage, clinging onto the side of the cage. I am kind of worried because he has not moved. It's not like there's no branches or anything around him he's surrounded by stuff he can hold onto. I am quite worried.

Just about anyplace. If this is for holding humidity in at night, you can use black trash bags. Depending on what size you can find, you probably won't even have to cut them, and they can double as blackout curtains.

IDK about the behavior. Is it possible he's hungry and hunting for bugs?

Ok thank you! Yeah he might be hungry, good thing I'm about to grab some crickets haha.

Another fogger or die thread. Youd think up until 2 years ago chameleons were just dropping left and right.

:D I have a healthy, almost 2 yr old Jacksons and he's never had a fogger. Just saying...

Exactly, I'm not hating on the method, just don't like the whole 'without a fogger they will die early' talk. I believe there are multiple ways to achieve hydration that work equally well. Fogging at night is a relatively new thing still and I remember plenty of people having healthy animals, just as much as now, before using them. I would if I could, but where my cham is ATM a fogger just wouldn't work without causing mold issues in the room. Nothing to me has indicated that my chameleon is suffering from long watering sessions instead. I don't have a jacksons, but my Parsons loves, and even my Panthers most of the time, loved water.

Jacksons are much different from panthers and parsons

Another fogger or die thread?? You must be reading done other thread all that was said is having a fogger helps to accomplish nighttime tempature drop much easier than without but ok fogger or die ?

You haven't been here long enough to know how often this is brought up since petr came out with naturalistic hydration(which btw, I think is a fine thing to do, I just don't think it's the only way)

And yes people have been fogging for over 15 years it's called outside enclosure in proper climate and these animals live much longer than indoor animals in unadequate conditions

I probably live in an area closest to that and I will tell you still, there is not nightly heavy fogging rolling through my outdoor enclosure. Many times yes, but not always. My cham still gets the hose for an hour and he loves it. Show me some proof that fog drastically increases lifespan and I'd happily buy into it

Also, let's see these 15 year old jacksons chameleons. @JacksJill do you know of any?
