Baby Monkey tails are here!!! Thx Chad!!

So I got a fantastic care package from Chad yesterday! We were trying to hit a hole in the weather and JUST did. I was super stressed as was Chad that the cold front in norcal or the return of the heat in AZ would cause problems in shipping. They got here safe and sound and super active!! Chad did a great job packing them up and I also got some baby stick insects from him that I have been after for a year All I have right now are a couple of bad cell phone shots but I will post up beauty shots later

The female is from the first clutch hatched (11/04/2011) and is around 21g

The Male is from a more recent clutch hatched (02/13/2012) and is around 4g

These guys are Just AWESOME!! Now who do I talk to about getting into the Kinyongia club

This was there set up at the office yesterday. I always have things delivered to the office because we get our deliveries without fail and early!!

Thanks Jon! I can honestly say I am smitten with them. They are easily 3x as active as my panthers. They are still in temporary housing and I can't wait till tomorrow when I can get them into something more permanent

Congrats Rob! I knew you got the K. Matschiel but when I read your title I though you also got some monkey tail skinks (prehensile skink). If you ever do want any of those Dr. Alfonso raises them. They are one of his favorite reptiles. That will have to be after you add your second reptile room.

What a gorgeous pair! I am loving your little girl. Are they related?

Chad always calls them monkey tail chams because their tails are so freakishly long It's funny because I was excited before they came but now that they are here I am even more excited...it's like getting my first cham all over again

So I guess I must have done something wrong since my K.Mats thread got moved to photo while all the others that got these gems are still in the Kinyongia section.

Anyway, finally got these guys into their "permanent" enclosures this Friday and spent some time while transferring them to shoot a few photos. Hope you enjoy

I name all my animals after mountains as you may have noticed so these guys are NO different. We tried to stay in the general region and named the male Meru and the Female Loleza.

Thanks Michael!! They are really a cool species! That little male already has my wife wrapped around his little finger The female seems very shy so far but am sure she will come around.
