Baby Panther Behaviour

Hello everyone...I have a quick question, my baby Ambilobe has started to walk across his top of his enclosure more & more each day? Is this normal? He doesn't stay up there very long, but seems to like to walk across the top...from one end to the other...and then back down to his ficus tree...temps & humidity are good, he is eating well & very active. Does anyone know what would cause this behaviour? He never walks on the sides or front of the enclosure, just the very top? Thanks in advance...

he might be wanting to go abit higher so maybes the time to change him over to something with another 12 inches added to the height my male nosy be did this until i changed him over to his 2 by 2 by 4 foot cage and he loved it so try moving him to something else and see if that works

Here's Thaxter (Ambilobe) at about 5 months, chillin' at the top.
Didn't notice that he made it a habit, though, and not long after that he became free-range. They do like to be up high, though; I'd echo the suggestion to either move your buddy to an enclosure with more height or, if you can't do that just yet, maybe try physically raising the enclosure? (i.e., so there are good perches available above your head level)

Baby Panther behaviour...

Well thanks for the suggestions everyone, his basking area is 85-90 degrees, he's only 3+ months old, a little guy and has only been in his current setup for a few weeks. (24 high). Maybe I'll add some additional vines/branches although he does have a few and his ficus tree does hit the top of the enclosure...?

try horizontal vines at the top, when my father had his, it did the same, and when we put in the horizontal vines, he stoped doing it,and instead preferred the horizontal vines at the top, which he did not use as much either.
