20180505_155710.jpg Well I'm up to 13 in the tub. These little guys are so cute. I have a question, how long before they eat. The first one hatched a little over a week ago but I have seen any of them eating. I have pinhead crickets, 1/8" crickets, fruit fly's, and phoenix worms for them but again, haven't seen them eating. The tub is at 83 during the day and 72 at night. They were incubated for 8 1/2 - 9 months and all seem healthy and active.

They usually take 2 days to eat. Sometimes you won't see them eat but the Telltale sign is observing the poop in your tub. Check it out

There is poop in the tub. Thanks for the tip.

I almost never see my babies eat but they poop and grow so they must be eating.

Why is there a tub in the corner of their tub? They need food all over their enclosure. They won't know to go to a tub to eat.

I like to use natural branches for them and drape sprigs of asparagus fern around. I like asparagus fern as a cut frond lasts a long time without water and has a lot of little leaves to collect water from misting. Dehydration is a big issue with babies. Fruit flies are a good baby food. I put little pieces of fruit around the cage at high points on skewers to attract the flies and keep them in the tubs.

Great tips. I have crickets, fruit fly's, roaches and phoenix worms. The cup is for the roaches and worms so the don't just hide under the sticks. Its not really working but I figured it was worth a try. I like the trick for fruit fly's and a piece of fruit.

I can't believe your panthers can be big enough to eat even the smallest roaches. Ditto with most black soldier fly larvae. I can harvest black soldier fly larvae from my compost bin that is small enough, but that is not the size you can buy. Since you called them Phoenix worms, you must be buying them. I suspect your food is too big for them. They won't eat if the food is too big.

Yeah they are to big. I'm just sticking with fruit flies and crickets for right now. I did see one grab a cricket today.

Thanks everyone for your helpful tips.
