baby veiled chameleons have begun hatching

After 7 and a half months of waiting my babies have begun to hatch. They started hatching last Wednesday and since then I have had 16 perfect little babies hatch. They are precious. This is the first time I have every had baby chameleons and I have a couple questions. About how long will it take for all of the eggs to hatch. I have noticed that on some of the babies there is a pinkish mucus stuck to their abdomens. Reminds me of an umbilical cord. I'm assuming this is normal and not something I really need to worry about but I would love for some one to confirm or deny this for me. Also was wondering about how many pinheads per baby they should eat. Also if anyone has any other advice for caring for them anything would be appreciated. I'm pretty much just treating them like smaller versions of their parents.

Oh, and some of the babies look dark. Like a brownish purpleish. Dark. Some have changed to the green color and some still seem dark days later. Is that normal?

At that age I used to just let them eat as much as they wanted. They're very tough little chams, and like to eat. Seems like pinheads were too small for them, though, if memory serves.

It's been a long time since I bred them but it's great to see so many people doing it these days!
