baby veiled mbd help please!!

male veiled 3 to 4 months old
i have him 2 months give or take a week or two

tank:
glass exo terra 60x45x60cm i know its not ideal but i have a better one for him when his a bit bigger and i open the doors alot during the day to give him fresh air.
mesh top
humidity never drops below 60 and sometimes reaches 90 after i mist the tank
temperature never drops below 75f at night and day time 80f basking temp 100f
lights x2 exo terra repti glo 5.0 compact 13w bulbs
lights and heaters are on timers.

i have tried giving him liquid calcium orally like the vet said but he wont open his mouth the last 2 weeks so decided today to inject one cricket with the calcium and let him eat it.

he hasnt been to bad except for the last to days i found him asleep during the day twice yesterday and once today. i am going to just keep dusting his crickets and injecting one for the next 3 or 4 days. if he doesnt seem better i will bring him to a local vet that said they can inject him with calcium?? im not sure if they know what their talking about when it comes to reptiles so decided to see what more experienced keeper think.

please help me this is my first chameleon i feel terrible if he died because i would be the one to blame. i will write a more detailed story if people show interest in helping me out

Sleeping during the day is not a sign of MBD.

What makes you think he has it?

What UVB bulb are you using?
what exact supplements are you using?

if your baby is as young as you say, a basking temp of 100 deg is way too hot, especially in a glass cage.

that temp should be down around 85 max for a baby that young.

what are you feeding him?

can we see photos of him, and his cage please?

2 week ago i noticed he had four small bumps along his ribs so i started looking for a reptile vet i found one that was highly recommended online and brought him to her the next day. she took an xray and said his bones are not defined like they should be he has mbd gave liquid calcium to give him 0.5ml a day its called zolcal-d liquid calcium and vitamin d3 which i have to give orally. i feed him crickets he eats 4th black crickets about 3 to 5 a day supplemented with nutrobal podwer (contains calcium and 150iu d3, plus vitamins a e k b1 b2 b6 b12 c, folic, nicotinic and patothenic acids, biotin choline niacine and minerals na fe co i mn zn se cu. its says on bottle) everyday.

his uv lights are exo terra repti glo 5.0 ( he has two of them)

i have just adjusted his temps now!

i cant get photos now but i will try tonight i have taken alot out of his cage so he cannot climb so high because the vet told me to do this to prevent a bad fall.

Bumps on the ribs dont equal MBD, though not clearly defined bones do equal some calcium loss.

if hes keeping his eyes shut, i bet its because you have 2 uvb bulbs, he only needs one!

Where are you located?

Veileds do much better in screen cages than they do in glass ones.

How much foliage is in his cage?

i thought his ribs was broke thats why i brought him to a vet to find that he has this "mbd" her words. i only noticed his eyes closed over the last two days. he used to have a ficus in there with a fern but i took out the ficus only has fern now he can hide in alot of places it can take me several minutes to locate him when im just looking. i live in ireland i hvae tried bringin him out side over the past 3 days while the weather is sunny but there is a cold breeze so i will not keep him outside for more than a minute and i will not be able to bring him back out to real sun light for a good while as the weather in this place is shit! so should i remove one bulb?

Are his eyes just shut, or are they crusty, swollen, bubbley, oozing at all?

i would remove one uvb bulb yes.

what is the day time temp outside in the sun?

personally, i would put a soft towel on the bottom of his cage, and then keep all plants and vines and such in his cage, this way he feels comfortable for climbing, but if he does fall, he lands on something soft.

the bumps on the ribs could have just been his ribs, (sometimes they stick out funny) or he could have parasites under his skin.

have you had a fecal done for parasites?

i have a towel in his cage to cushion his fall already his eyes are not oozing or anything like that just closed like hes asleep.

no i havent had a fecal done i have no money the vet cost me 150 the last time and bearly have the money to feed all of my animals but its not a parasite im 99 percent sure he feel and they are not just his ribs sticking out funny i will post pictures of everything tonight and you will see!

try removing one uvb bulb, make sure you mist at least 4 times a day, with warm water.

any natural sunlight you can get him, do it.

Ive read that too much calcium isnt supposed to be bad for chams,,,,,however,,,I have also read that too much d3 will become an issue for chams,,,,and,,,along with you reptiglo`s,,,,and your daily supplementation of d3,,,,this could be an issue to ammend!!!

Can I suggest you use plain calcium every feed and nutrabol once or twice a week. It contains d3 which I would not give daily.

Too much D3 can be an issue.
