When do u think my chameleon will come around and stop hissing at me? Stupid question I know he's only been home for 5 days or so thanks for your help!

Welcome to the forum.

If you just got him 5days ago, I wouldn't attempt to handle him for at least another 2weeks. Let him become comfortable with his new surroundings.
Also, hissing is normal. Does he actually lung and try to bite?
Some chams will never be okay with being handled.

I have had my veiled for almost 2 months now, and he still doesn't allow me to pick him up. I've about come to terms with never being able to handle him freely.

Welcome to the world of veiled's that's how they are, just let him settle in and when trying to get him out move your hand up slowly from underneath, it'll take time

It's possible you will be able to entice your chameleon into being friendly or that he will, in fact, decide to be friendly. But there's a fine chance that he will stay unfriendly. It's not even just a veiled thing, I don't handle my chameleons routinely and neither is a veiled. My Fischer's hates me. He seems to love his cage. I'm fine with that.

I advise you to try to get your head around the idea that your chameleon might never be your TV watching buddy. Maybe he will, but if he doesn't you should still appreciate him for the lovely animal he is.

Mine has hated me more and more since the day I got her, just heading deeper into her teenage years! .. oh and uh , nice username.

I got mine about 2 months if that she is very friendly does not even open her mouth like she's tyring to bite but then again I don't handle her very much only to clean her cage its not reccommended to handle them at a young age it affects how long there over all life span so I'm told

Veileds are naturally aggressive by nature. If you want a social cham, get a Jackson. I have 3, and 2 of them willingly climb on my hand/arm when I reach in their cage and whatnot. They never hiss or bite.
