Baby Veiled trying to eat fake plants?

I recently ordered a baby Veiled from flchams and in his new enclosure I have a good sized Croton plant with another plant I made sure was safe and non-toxic (started with a P, dont remember the name) and 2 fake Pothos climbing vines. Today I noticed the Veiled was trying to eat the fake pothos vines...he didnt actually eat any or rip any leaves off. Wondering what I should do about that?

I've had a veiled do this, he might just be used to all real plants. My veiled eventually figured it was fake and stopped. If your really scared or you see him actually rip a piece off then take the fakes out. But if not he should figure it out. Could be a sign he's not getting enough food or wants some vegetation to eat.

Me personally, I would remove it. I would not take the chance. If he does tear a piece off and cannot digest it, you may have yourself a problem.

Ive seen him eat at least 5 crickets a day since Ive gotten him, but only seen him drink twice. I mist him 4 times a day and use a little dripper for a total of 30 minutes (15 minutes twice a day), so it seems like he should have plenty to drink. I am getting him collard and celery greens for him tomorrow to eat, and will most likely replace his fake pothos with another real climbing plant.

It might be a sign he's looking for vegetation to eat.....I'd provide him with daily salad leaves to eat. I feed my yemens florette crispy salad leaves and they tongue-zap it like they do with insects! :)

When I kept Veilds They loved Veggies, My female would run for a bite of melon.I agree on removing those plastic plants..Real ones are the way to go.They help maintain humidity and your chameleon will thank you..You can offer him leafy vegies on a regular schedule to keep him from destroying the live plants, and it quite healthy for him too.

Id like to take pics of him and post them but he is kinda skittish about people being around his cage still. Ive only had him for 5 days now... What are some other good veggies to give him?

kale, romaine, collard greens, mustard greens, cilantro, shredded carrots and spinach are common ones that he may like :)
