Good to knowI build custom epoxy backgrounds starting a $125!
I have that background for my bearded dragon, came with the enclosure. It is good but I imagine you would want to paint it to look more tropical as that is a desert style background.this is what I plan on buying. I think I can buy this for about 70 bucks

I couldn’t do a stone/epoxy one for less than $175, both methods are very time consuming...this is what I plan on buying. I think I can buy this for about 70 bucks

I just recently bought some great stuff to do something in a dragon strand medium tall atrium. Anyone try pressing real stones into it while it dries or something like that? Would that just add too much weight, you think? I’m perusing all background threads to gather up ideas!
It’s not really meant to hold that much weight. I was able to mount some
Back drops between my screen and dragon ledges though. You have to be very careful with how much weight you’re putting on them as each ledge is only meant to hold so much weight.
It’s Rust-OleumFor some of the stone texture I did on my most recent build, I took black Great Stuff, carved it up, used some acrylic paints to get the look I wanted, and then sealed it with outdoor (water based) Varathane. And then I used LiquidRubber to slap on some cocofibre.

You could also carve up the background and add a stone texture spray. @jamest0o0 @JoXie411 - what was the name of the stuff y'all used?
