Ball Valve on Mistking?

Does anyone run and use a ball valve on their mistking? I understand a ball valve can reduce the flow, but what effect does that have on the misting? If you reduce the flow, will the mist not be as fine? Or does it just reduce the area that the spray/mist covers? Thanks!

I have a ball valve coming from my reservoir to my pump, but I only use it for the purposes of detaching the bucket and not letting the water leak out. Is there a reason you want to reduce the flow?

No, not at all, I just saw the ball valve listed on the mistaking system and didn't know how it was used, but what you said makes perfect sense, thanks!

I use the ball value and the resavoir plug for my drain trays. I just put the plug in the tray and use some tubing laying in tray. I have long tube hanging down the other side in the back with a valve to shut on and off when I am draining into a bucket.
