Basking Temp's

Yea same here. 6 month old male ambilobe panther. It kind of appears to me hes might want some hotter basking. What do you think?

AS long as you have a digital thermometer with a probe and know your basking spot temps for sure, you could take him up a notch, but I would not go over 90.

Ok, i will step it up 5 degrees. I also have a question about cage size. at 6 months he is in a 20x18x12. when should i step him up to the 2x2x4? i was told at one year is that correct?

I may have answered this on your other thread, but if he is of good size and a good hunter, then anytime woud be a good time to move him up.

Yea i have asked that question before. but dont think i got a good reply. What are you using for substrate? Im using just a few paper towels to cover the bottom then clean them up. But it appears that it is a prime hiding spot for some of my feeders.

No substrate is best. I use bare cage floors. It is just as easy to wipe up poop or take them outside and spray the bottoms of them out.
