Bearded dragon wound

So my bearded dragon had a patch of scales on the top of his snout that looked darker than the rest. I asked around and was told it was probably retained shed and that it would come off. They got darker as days passed. Then he started shedding again. Those scales remained blackened. Today he was rubbing his face to get off the scales he's currently shedding and then I found him with an open sore. There's some blood, it's a little sunken in, and very smooth. No scales anymore it looks like. Someone told me not to worry and that I should just put honey on it.

However, I'm very concerned it could be yellow fungus but was again told that it doesn't look like that. That it's usually more dramatic and crusty. I have seen the pictures and this didn't look like those. But what else could this be? He's housed properly, fed properly, and has nothing in his enclosure that could injure him. He was on Ponazuril and Panacur for a few weeks, though. Any thoughts? I'll be taking him in to Dr. Stein on Tueaday.

Is he rubbing his nose on the glass of his cage? It looks like a rub sore. If there is a particular place he is hanging out, maybe try covering the glass - he could be seeing something that is stressing him out like his reflection or something in the room. If you haven't tried that, it's an easy theory to test and see if his nose starts to get better.

Are you sure that they is nothing in his cage? I mean a kind of bug. Just check it once because my friend's bearded dragon also faced the same problem, after a few days my friend came to know that the small bug was also residing in the cage along with the dragon and caused patches on the dragon skin. He hired the professionals from Exterminator Scarsdale NY. The professionals cleaned the cage using some chemicals which were not at all harmful to the dragon. He also took the dragon to the doctor, who gave some medicine and the patches gone away.

This. My daughter's beardie was bumping his nose on his favorite hidey hole. Neosporin works fine

Careful w neosporin. Its great stuff but if he rubs and gets it in his eyes....no bueno. Look it up, neosporin in the eye is a blinding incident. Be careful, use it sparingly. But he needs it.
