Bearded dragons?

Het so my brother got a four month old bearded dragon and he wants to keep it in the same room as Tony (so basically I'm the proud mother of a new son). My question is, is this okay for Tony? Or would it constantly stress him out? Obviously first born get priority.

P.s. If you know of any bearded dragons sites or have any advice. My brother is nine so something tells me it'll really be my pet.

I think it he should be OK. My veild is housed by 2 geckos and he does fine. I would still keep an eye out and maybe put a non transparent wall in between the two if there's any trouble. Also I've seen this website before, you should try it out (y) https://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=65
As above. Just keep an eye on things. But if not in direct line of sight, all will be fine :)

Also....feel free to join my Facebook group; Bearded Dragons Network: www.facebook.com/groups/beardienetwork

I also have a Cham one, Chameleon Network ;) www.facebook.com/groups/chambritain

Thank you to you both! I will check out both sites. Quick question though, do they also need both lights or just the one heat light?

They need warmer temps at basking bearded dragons . I'm not sure how old yours will be . We have a 6 month old , and 3 year old bearded dragons . That are all in same room with our gecko different enclosures . Francis is our veiled chameleon we do keep her in another room all together .

Just remember, a lot of bearded dragons can carry coccidia. While it's not a problem for them, it can infect a chameleon. ALWAYS make sure that you wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water if you handle the dragon, and then are going to handle your cham. Don't let them "meet" - and keep everything separate. That being said, I've had my dragons for nearly 12 years, and they are in the same room as my chams. Their cage is perpendicular, so the chams can't see the dragons, but I've had all of them on our lanai for outdoors time with no issues. Be careful and you won't have any cross-contamination issues.

Mines is four month old. So far the temp has been between 85-low 90's. Humidity in the low 30's. This is his setup.

Thank you for telling me this. I've been doing my best trying to make sure this little guy is good but I had no idea about that. Hands will be constantly washed lol. So to prevent cross contamination should I get James his own plants to chill on outside or? I already keep their foods separate and their cages are away from each other.

Yes all the above !!. They poo more I find . Specially in their water . Just make sure they have lots of plants to sleep in . Also no uvb at night if you are using one . The calcium is same everyday with out D3 . 2 times a month with D3 and multivitamin . They need fruits and veggies . They can not eat spinach , also don't do banana often , mealworms are not a good choice . Mine absolutely love Raspberries , sweat potatoe , Swiss chard , papaya . There very friendly , are easy to handle . They should be bathed once a week in worm water . They don't need Humid conditions . Just mist and baths . Also just make sure the log is not to close to screen and light . They will get a burn . They won't move .

Thanks! What about a dripper? Would it entice him to drink more if he's got a drip going like a chameleon or is still water fine? How often should the misting take place? So how my light is set up should I move it away?

If you are soaking them once a week like you should be there is no need for a water dish. They also get their hydration from the veggies and feeders. Water dish just ends up being a potty. Also go to the bearded dragon forum and look up enclosures. They don't need the sand or substrate, I've used tiles or paper towels. That sand can get ingested and it will stain your beardies legs and belly.

For outside time I use a small kiddo pool with a basking rock for her to climb up on and about an inch of water. I wouldn't put him on plants. They don't grip well and could fall.

You don't need a dripper or standing water. Read my above post. Seriously, go check out the bearded dragon forum. A wealth of info there.

No mister , they love there water dish , there like a dog of the lizard world . Just watch the size of the water dish make sure it's not deep . Stay away from a Fountain . 4 month old baby bearded dragons are curious . They hop , jump there fast , they have no fear .
