bedtime shots...how do you do it??

I can't get sleepytime shots of my chams & I'm disappointed because they're so sweet & innocent looking when they're sleeping.

How do people manage it? I cover my veiled's cage with a blanket at night & if I twitch the blanket he wakes instantly. My little carpet is the same. Any movement or light, & he wakes.

If I don't switch the lights on, they wake anyway when the flash of my camera goes off.

I feel like a terrible mum, waking them just to take a pic, but I've seen some really nice shots from others. Is it just that my camera-phone isn't fancy enough to take pics in low light? Or are my boys just light sleepers?

Mine apparently sleeps hard. I have sat there and taken multiples angles and shots on nights when it is just too cool to let pass and he never even stirs. That is the only way, otherwise, I would not disturb his sleep. Like this one.

Let your cham sleep in a plant outside of the cage one night and you can get all the shots you need!

My guy is a real heavy sleeper too, usually falls alseep a couple mins before lights out and when hes out hes out. I have two roommates and we work different shifts so I think hes used to all the noise and commotion

I would love to get a good pic of little Smidget all curled up on his favorite sleeping branch (sooooo cute!!) but he always opens his eyes and goes to hide!!

He looks like a rolled-up noodle :D
