Yes younger chameleons need to eat daily, until they get older then you feed every other day.

Colors mean different things, you should see the chameleon darken up when basking, darker colors absorb more heat. Also, darker patterns can also mean they are stressed , you will know the difference when you see the bask colors compared to stressed colors. In the picture the cham looks calm, which is a good thing!

Hissing is a normal sign of veileds that are scared, you shouldnt be picking the chameleon up like a dog let it come to you on its own terms, out your hand in front of slowly and stroke the chameleons chin normally works for me .

Sleeping should occur at night , in a pitch black cage. Some are light sleepers others not so much, sleeping during the day is not healthy. If the cham is in a populated room I suggest throwing a towel or dark sheet to cover the cage to stop light from getting in.

Also, feeding should have a variety of bugs, much like a human diets consists of protein , fats, etc. Same applies for feeder bugs, make sure you are dusting properly and gut loading the feeders.

That picture was taken after some display no hissing just a little upset. This was about 10 minutes afterward she was fine? But she does display at times I use a stick to get her to come to me sometimes.

the best way to get them to trust you more is through hand feeding, and reward them for coming out on your hand, like taking them outside to enjoy the sunlight and such

She won't take from my hand but does notice the worm wiggling in my fingers. But than she looks down at her feeding bowl will do this over and over again. Like put it in there, I have taken her outside to bask. How long?

Taking her out to bask is up to you, as long as she has a bask spot in her cage so she doesnt get to cold , then basking would be a treat. I take mine out late afternoon when it isnt so hot. What about opening your palm and holding really still. Or taking the worm and sorta of dangle it and move your fingers slighty to catch her attention on it. It's not going to happen over night, it takes patience and a steady hand!

Welcome to the forums. I see that CheifRedman has been doing a nice job helping you but I did one to add a few addition blogs for you since you have a female and they lay eggs without a male even being around. I recommend by the age of five months you provide her with a laying bin in her enclosure at all times. If she needs to lay and doesn't have a laying bin she will become eggs bound and probably die. The links below are about female care, egg laying and the laying bin.

She has a one that is slightly bigger than her body and 3 1/3 '' deep for now. I want to get her a bigger one when I get her lifetime cage.

How old is she? A veiled will not lay in a shallow bin. It needs the be at least 10 inches deep and 12 inches is recommended.

Well she has been in it even rustles around in the dirt. I have caught her exploring it but only slight digging in it. I will see about making it deeper?
The petco store said she was about 8months old. I check her belly feel it often nothing yet?

She looks kind of big in the picture. I have never been able to feel eggs in my girls tummy but they still laid eggs.
