Behavior questions

She seems to be gravid. I don't know her age, but between 5 and 7 months I think. She walks along the bottom of her cage, and all along the laying bin and everything else.
Also, she doesn't really eat crickets unless I hold them on a branch in front of her, but sometimes I just put a cup with 5-8 and she eats most of them.

Chameleons usually stop eating about a week before they are due to lay eggs mostly because their body cavity is so full of eggs; they physically can’t get anything more in there. If your girl is still eating, why do you assume she is gravid? In fact, restlessness is a sure sign that she might be receptive. It can also indicate she is too hot or doesn’t like her cage or she sees something that is scaring her. The list is long and without some real information from you, like say from that health questionnaire, we can only guess (or not) what is wrong (or not).

As stated already, please post some clear, updated photos of your chameleon, her cage and her lay bin.

Any posts complaining about the OP will be removed. If you do not want to help this person from past experience(s) then there are plenty other threads to choose from. And to you Nicky, many of us have been breeding Veileds longer than you have even been alive. That experience and know-how should count for something, so please take our advice for the sake of your pet. Don’t further alienate the people that can help you.

It won't let me post pictures ugh. I tried to pick her up to take a picture of her and she puffed up really big and almost bit me. She'd never done that before.

She calmed down. She's chilling on my shoulder now.

This is the reservoir for the mister and the laying bin. I plan to upgrade soon, as this one only has about 7 inches of dirt. The reservoir is 1 gallon, and the system mists for 1 minute for seven hours, but I usually add a few more rounds to boost the humidity. It stopped letting me post pictures again argh.

she was about twice as large and mostly those black spots and her chin was all puffed out and light green, and those lines/grooves were the same dark green as the spots. Her mouth was dark pink, like it was pink but it was black too. You guys probably know what I mean. Also I said nothing to offend them I knew I should have been more specific but I'm sick and wasn't really paying attention. Anyway, she's chill(ish) now. She's always walking around, and sometimes she avoids my hand even when I'm trying to feed her. As stubborn as every other teenager I suppose (yes I'm including myself.) humidity drops down to 30% every day for a while, but it goes back o quickly. Texas is really dry and it seems to affect the cage even with the measures I have placed to boost humidity. Temps never go below 60 or above 85.

She loves this Pothos.

Based on the pictures she looks really good. You may want to slow down on the handling if she is in fact getting stressed by it. It may not look like it to us, but it is very detrimental to their health when under stress. I would put a bucket of moist play sand in her enclosure and if you notice she is pawing or digging at it then she's ready to lay. Otherwise she may just be receptive to breeding and exploring.

Good to know. I looked for play sand but somehow couldn't find any besides like 50 gallons. anyone know where to find some?

Look at lowes in the "construction" area where they keep the bags of cement, that's where I got mine. It was less than $5 for like 50 lbs

That's how big the sand bags are at most home improvement and construction stores. Home Depot or Lowes will have them. Wash it too.

She looks fine by the way. Good job.
