Hi there, I'm just looking to find the best all in one supp, it's not for me it's for the new comers to chams who come to buy young and there is just so much for them to take in when I get to supliments they just get confused so I said I will find a simple all in one to make things easier, it's only for panthers an veileds, thank you

I dont thing there is one. supplementing depends on lots of factors such an how much natural sunlight they get. What type of cham. What sex the cham is. Type of gut loading. What feeders are used. There is Repeshey calcium plus but personally i feel uneasy about using it daily. In my opinion it would be best to stick to the calcium with d3 twice a month. Multivit twice a month and calcium without d3 every feed depending on type of cham. In uk we have nutrabol which he's d3 and multivit which i use every 4 days as it has a low dose of d3. It is very complicated but one size does not fit all I'm afraid.:):)

im from the uk an from what ive read on the repashy calcium plus its not a bad all in one, a little high with the d3 so if you mixed in a little extra plain calcium it wouldnt be bad an i would be carful using nutrobol 4 days a week, nutrobal has more d3 in than my cacium d3 and i only use that twice a month, my t5 provides plenty

I use it once every 14 days .Sorry typo.LOL In the days before forum education, cham keepers in my area were advised to use Nutrabol exclusively to the detriment of the cham. Thank goodness we now know better, perhaps that is why i am wary of using RCP daily . You did say it was complicated.:D

Hi kev I use the repashy with plain calcuim mixed in about 1 cup repashy to 1/3cup of calcium combined with bugburger and superload as gutload. And recently I have bought the stickytoungue farms minerall indoor combined with the vitall for gutlaod I will have babies from my next clutch some on repashy and the others sticky tongues. But so far both are great I would not use repashy everyday though.4 times a week max imo

Interesting topic. I use repashy calcium plus and calcium, around 50% each (maybe a little bit more repashy). During summer i plan on cutting on repashy due to sun exposure and fresh veggies.

The worry that I would have is the increased Sun exposure will provide extra vitamin d3 but not all the other nutrients and vitamins that is found in rapashy. Maybe add a dash of Reptivite would be good addition to the reduced repashy

How long have you been using it?

This is a good question, if you've had success for quite a while then it's a good thing, I'm just trying to make things a little easier for the new owners and I always stress if they have any more questions or any problems they can ring me even a couple of years down the line, I just love talking chams

Well, I'm not. During summer there's a lot of fresh vegetables and my feeder get them all ;)

I have been using Repashy calcium plus for Smeagol, Squee and Smidget, but since Noogie is a montane, he gets it less often.
I think gutloading is just as important, if not more so.

Calcium plus was recommended to me as a 'all-in-one' supplement by the Kammer's.
They have been using it for years, and have been breeding chams for over
30 years.
When they recommend something to me, I am very confident that they know exactly what they are talking about ;)

Ok thanks, I will be so much easier if I'm able to recommend a all in one, do you use this every feed or a couple of times a week?

I don't use an all in one and as complicated at supplementing seems, I wouldn't recommend it. The all in one has not been around for that long, a couple of years maybe and to my knowledge there have not been any long term results in chameleons. I use very little supplements because I use a large variety of feeders and a large variety of gut load. When I do supplement, I lightly dust a few crickets and take the feeder cup around and let every chameleon eat 2 or three of the crickets. I do supplement my females with extra calcium and give them a drop of liquid calcium every week or two. I am not telling other members not to gut load because I live in South Florida and my guys get outside time almost every single day, I always have 5+ feeders at all times and use an awesome dry gut load made by my vet along with a very large variety of fruits and veggies.

I only dust cricks and dubia roaches, so no, they dont get it every day because some days they get silkies or something un-dusted.

I tend to supplement more in the winter, here on the East coast, it's very cold sometimes, so taking my guyz outside is out of the question.

Like I said, a suppliment is just that.. a 'suppliment'!! You need to provide the
proper nutrition with a veriety of feeders and good gut loading.

Like Jann said, there is a lot still not known about how Repashy's CC effects chams, esp., montanes, but with that said, I dont believe it will cause any harm either, and I have read some of Repashy's research papers for myself, as I was very scepticle about this "all-in-one-for-all-lizards' claim!!
Esp. since the product it's self has a pic of a gecko on it!! LOL

This is all over complicated for beginners, half of what I say goes over there heads never mind if I went into gut loading and nutrition aswell. I personally don't use many supliments either but I've been keeping chams a while and have don't a lot of research. I'm just looking for a simple way to help the beginners it doesn't have to be perfect just keep them on the right track an if they want to go into nutrition more they can, I help where I can but they really do start to get confused its takes experience to perfect your husbandry

I know, ppl get way too neurotic about it, and no matter what you do, there is always someone to tell you your doing it all wrong!!

How long have you been using it?

I have been using it for my Male for almost a year. Been using it since he was 4 months old. And same for my female. Both seem fine. I never heard of people using it 50% of the time. Sometimes i just give my female plain calcium but that's not often.

I don't mean to barge in on this topic seeing as that I'm brand spanking new to these forums (as well as this is my very first post), but I have been doing tons of research before I get my fist cham and this is one subject I'm very interested in. I've read the details for Repashy's Cal. Plus from there website and I was wondering how well of a all-in-one supplement it is. Honestly I can wrap my head around pretty much everything else but this one subject matter. I don't want to over or under supplement my lil guy when ever I do get one, and was hoping for this to be something I could use until I can figure something out for myself.

I'm glad you brought this thread back up, this is what it was ment for the new people to chams because it really is very confusing when staring up because there is so much to learn an people seem to forget that but anyway from all the reading I've done on the subject I think if you mix the repashy cal plus with a plain calcium to a 50/50 mix and them use that as a all in one it wouldn't be to bad, not perfect but would be fine for your little fellow and when I say not perfect I wouldn't worrie as most things arnt
