Best all in one supliment? Help

Thank you for the fast reply! That sounds to be perfect for me. Now may I ask if your meaning that the 50/50 mixture would be fine for a daily dusting as the R.C.P suggest?

I would perhaps use it 5 times a week an would of thought that would be enought as I don't like to over supliment with artificial supliments, I'm sure plenty of people will have a opinion but In my opinion it wil be ok

I'm glad you brought this thread back up, this is what it was ment for the new people to chams because it really is very confusing when staring up because there is so much to learn an people seem to forget that but anyway from all the reading I've done on the subject I think if you mix the repashy cal plus with a plain calcium to a 50/50 mix and them use that as a all in one it wouldn't be to bad, not perfect but would be fine for your little fellow and when I say not perfect I wouldn't worrie as most things arnt
That's what I'm thinking too. If you offer variety in feeders and gut load properly, using rep cal + daily might be just too much.
I didn't came to this conclusion myslef - I've read it in previous thread when this issue was discussed and that's what I'm doing since. I guess we need few more years to find out what the "perfect solution" is ;)

Problem is, there is no suppliment product that I know of made JUST for
chams!!
The more 'all-in-one-and-one-for-all' a product is, the more scientific
evidence it needs to show.
Otherwise, I would be suspicious
Repashy has in fact done tons of research with chams, and has published
his data, and has even changed his formula for them.
He did say though that the product is not ideal for montanes, and is working
on a formula just for them.

If I can find his papers pertaining to chams, I will ask permission to post, or link it.

I cant PROVE that Repashy CP is good for my chams, but they are strong and vibrant and seem happy, and the Kammer's use it.
So, until I learn otherwise (based on real evidence), I will stick with it :D

So because the Kammer's use it and sell it, you are doing the same and feel it is the golden nugget? You have been keeping chams, at least based on this board for 8 months and posted over 1k x.

I would not use it every day. I would focus more on keeping your lighting fresh and focus on a healthy diet. Use RCP sparingly and you will be fine. I am old school and still use calcium, calcium w/ D3, Herptivite and DinoFuel (cricket crack is another excellent product) with my organic, veggies, nuts and seeds and never have issues.

Just my experience to throw in here that reinforces the mantra that it all depends on your situation including what you feed your feeders and the variety of your feeders. I am pretty new to chams and tried the Repashy Calcium Plus along with a very healthy dry and wet feeding/gutload regimen for my feeders. After a few weeks, my cham started showing swelling behind his neck that seemed pretty clearly to be edema. I stopped the RCP all together. A week later, his neck is much less swollen. RCP might be a great product, but I think it was just too much for every day use given the nutrients introduced in my gutload.

I am going to try the calcium, d3, vitamins moving forward.

This proves what I have been saying all along, there is to much d3 in there for most species of chameleon but if you mix it 50/50 with a plain calcium it would take down the d3 content to a healthier rate but your best doing it the way your now going to, I use three separate supliments, this way you can up the dosage or lower it for whatever health reasons you come across, it gives you more options

:D Hello, and to start I'll state I am in no means an expert and, a new keeper myself. That said, I would suggest to anyone new to keeping chams and, even not, to just keep a calendar for each chameleon. I have already filled in what supplements need to be given. I alternate my calcium w/d3 and multivit on Sundays. I also write down the dates the light bulbs were changed(started with) so, I'll know when they are due to be changed. I add notes for personal info on the calender like wt. and shed just for like a diary, too.

I dont thing there is one. supplementing depends on lots of factors such an how much natural sunlight they get. What type of cham. What sex the cham is. Type of gut loading. What feeders are used.

I agree.
Better to get a vitamin free calcium /mineral powder, and have a separate vitmain powder.

Repashy Calcium + or Nutrobol could be used up to as much as weekly, with a vitamin-free calcium powder more often. All depending on the variety of prey you offer, how you gutload, etc.
