Best flooring for my 3 month Veiled?

I started off with little wood chips, but my 3 month old veiled got a mouthful of a piece of wood in his mouth as he went for a cricket.
So I switched to this carpet called Eco Carpet.
Is there anything better to use?
I want to use sand as flooring, any recommendations on non-harmful sand?

most member suggest a bare floor i also use a outdoor carpet but no sand or dirt as you saw, they can accidentally ingest it and it can seriuos problems

The best recommendation and only one .. is no sand.... and no substrate.... what sort of enclosure is he in?

I'm glad you caught the issue w the wood chips before it got bad

He's in a screened enclosure. 16x16x30.

yeah, even though it isnt aesthetically appealing, a bare floor is the best/safest route to take...i just use paper towels at the bottom

hate to disagree, but i hate paper towel it gets wet then has the same problems as the soil, if they get a pc stuck when shooting for a cricket and eat it, and in my opinion that is worse than soil.and i have seen this happen when i used paper towel

i have never had a problem with my chams eating the paper towel...all of my crickets hang out at the top, and i wait for everything to dry out completely...i just use them for my reptariums bc its easier to clean the poop

totally i switched to a brown packing paper in some of my cages. it comes in large rolls as wide as my cages and doesent degrade or tear when its wet..
i just saw one of my girls eat paper towel a few times, ( she doesent wait for the crickets to get to the top LoL ) and didnt like it so i switched but i know alot of people use paper towel with no problems, def better than sand or dirt for sure

i use repticarpet it looks nice and is very safe yea you can buy it at petsmart and stuff
