Best, safest and least stressful way to take my Panther to the vet?

Tomorrow is his first visit to the vet, I would like any suggestions on transporting him and his poop. Simmons is 13 inches long. I have a very small screen cage, perhaps you are familiar with a " Sun Sanctuary",it's only 20 inches tall by 14inches inches in a hexagonal shape, would that be ok to take him to the vet in? When I got it ,the idea was to use it to take him to our son's house if we had to evacuate due to fires or is it better to take him in a paper bag stapled shut at the top like he was in to bring him home? What's the best way to take poop for a fecal test? How old can it be and still be used? Sorry for the long winded questions, and thanks for any help.

me personally, I would use the screen cage. I put a small plant in there and a branch or vine that he can climb on as well as the plant. As far as the poop, you can put in a zip lock baggie with a wet paper towel and store it in the fridge until you are ready to leave for the vet so it does not dry out.

Alternatively, you could put him in a bag or box (ventilated) with something to hold onto (rolled up paper towels?). Zippy bag is probably the easiest, best way to transport poop, but any clean, sterile container would work.

Thanks. Kinda what I thought, I already have poo baggied up and in the frige. I am enjoying the reactions when the kids & grandkids open the fridge and find worms and silkworm food so this ought to be good.
