best type of drinking water..?

Hey guys, I've heard many thoughts and opinions on the best water for chameleons to drink. Tap, rain, spring, purified, filtered,....
Whats the best for drinking/misting? Also, I've heard a lot about showering chams for hydration, how exactly is it done. Just as it sounds?> toss em in a critter carrier and soak'em and spray'em?

i heard that you can put them on a plant, put it in the shower and turn it on luke warm over the chameleon. obviously testing the temperature regulary and making sure he is not getting stressted. they can be under for up to an hour.

make sure to point the shower head against the wall so the little droplets shower the cham. rather than full streams.
