Best way to shower curtain wrap a screen cage?

Hey guys. I was asking about ways to stop tons of water from getting all over the floor. Got some great responses, thank you. I decided to go with shower curtains mostly because it's what I can afford right now. I wrapped the bottom section just under the door and I thought it was going well but when I got home from work there was water on the floor again :S Does anyone have a guide or anything on how best to wrap a cage? Pictures would be a huge help.

Thanks again guys.

I have drainage. I elevated 3 sides slightly so it pools to one corner and drains into a bucket. The main problem is run off down the screen.

I imagine velcro could work but the sticky back on them could eventually come off the screen/shower curtain.

I personally just use strong magnets spaced along the tops and edges.

You could make a "bathtub" bottom for your cage...take some tarp, sheet plastic, or another shower curtain and lay it on your cage stand (whatever you set the cage on). put the cage on top, but leave enough extra plastic on each side so you can roll or fold the edges up. This will create a sort of tube all around the cage. The water that runs down the screen will collect in the plastic tube where you can sponge it out. Or, even simpler, just lay another shower curtain on the floor under the cage stand. curl up the edges of the curtain so water doesn't flow off the plastic.

For example's sake, here is a pic of how mine are attached. Sorry the photo isnt rotated properly but it gets the point across.

I used a thicker mil curtain liner so it was a bit heavy. Hence it was more important to use stronger magnets at the top. Down the sides can be lesser magnets, mostly to keep the sheet from flapping in the wind.

I usually just use some metal wire in the corners and attach it to the screen on the outside of the cage. I cover the top half of all three sides and the bottom door with its own piece and have the water drain down into some storage bins under a storage rack haha Hope that helps in any way

You are putting the curtain on the inside aren't you?

Putting it on the outside will do nothing really, as the water will just run down the outside between the mesh and the curtain.

It needs to be on the inside so that the water runs down the curtain into the base with drainage.

I put mine on the outside, my drainage tray was larger than the base of the cage, and attached it with a strong plastic velcro. Worked great. It's the same type of velcro they use to attach Ipass transponders.

That works yes! But if the OP has a standard base and the drainage is on the inside, then the curtain would need to go inside.
