i was just sitting watching my chams eat when i look over to see what looks like a red alien thing coming out of my males butt. it scared me so bad but i was able to snap a photo of it before he popped it back in. what the heck is it and should it be a concern? i've never seen this before

Haha. Oh my gosh I remember when I first saw my chameleons, I freaked just like you. Luckily I had a vet visit shortly after and he explained it to me and then I laughed because I realized the jerk totally flashed me.

Freaked me out the first time my boy flashed me too! Lol it's SO weird. He hasn't done it since though. When I try to describe it I also refer to it as something alien like. Not sure what else you could say haha
