The regular bulbs inside dome lights dont have 'diodes'? Im not sure exactly what diodes are. The specify that their lights can allow reptiles to absorb calcium through the lights =/
Diodes are what LEDs are. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode.

The answer for all LEDs thus tested, is a big fat no!.

Those tanks, are not designed for chameleons, and if you look at the herps the advertise none of them use UVB.
They may work, they may not, the question is who is going to be the guinea pig?

Yup you are right. That's why I didn't even put money as a backer for the project until someone who is a backer has the courage to put a chameleon in one of the tanks =/ I just really like the concept and design of the cage.... just a bit worried. Not to mention, I really like exo-terra terrariums...
