Bitten?

Im curious how many people have been bitten by one of there Chams.

I have to say over the years, I have been bitten by one of my snakes, but never a cham. *knocks on wood* I have been scratched to heck by my full grown tegu, but never bitten. *knocking on wood again* I am very defensive when it comes to dealing with my herps though.

mine tends to headbutt rather than bite,still makes me jump though lol

i've been bitten once. he had alot of bite for a little guy :-\ he tries to every once and a while now but i learned to wear a glove

I have only been bitten the once, by one individual over a 9 year period of keeping chameleons. It was a female flap-neck that bit me but she wasn't well at the time and it was more of a quick warning bite.

I've been bit once by a male vieled cham. He was a Juvi, so it didn't really hurt, but they pack some pressure in those jaws.

I've used a glove ever since.

many times the F. pardalis male or female try to bite me, but the big pain always comes,
when I have been so frightened and I hit my ellbow on the frame of the terrarium
The F. pardalis in the wildness 95% of them are agressive

Ive seen blood twice.

By a just caught wild four foot california king snake. He got me right between the thumb and index finger.


and by a gecko. I forgot what kind.


Both instance were many years ago and im fairly lucky thats my only bites.

I used to hunt and catch rattle snakes growing up in california. I caught my first one at 13

No cham bites so far. Plenty of bites from other reptiles though. Monitors are the worst of all!

Touch wood, no chameleon bites (yet). I daresay Amy/Amos will change that at some point! Worst bite I've had was from a female chinchilla! She was mean and hated the sight and smell of my male chin. Boy does it hurt to have a chinchilla hanging off your finger! They lock on and grind their teeth too! Ouch! Never forgotten that bite!

Anoles, geckos of ALL SORTS (born in Hawaii), corn snake Cupid got me, garter snake, LARGE porcupine puffer fish, LARGE snowflake Eel, TONS of MEAN clown fish, and I'm sure numerous other critters, but not a chameleon

Neighbor got blood poisoning from a mangrove monitor bite, co-worker got hit by a rattle snake he was playing with drunk (not at work)
