Pictures would be great. It's hard to say what it could be without seeing it first

I wouldn't want to cry "burn" just yet

When you click "post reply" there will be a big text box you're typing in.

There is also a bunch of buttons, click the one that looks like a paper clip.

Then select the file you want to attach and it should come up. :)

I can't really tell what this is. Bruise, burn?

I thought burn but nothing has changed as far as lights/distance from him. nothing. Its almost like he would sit under the light with that side tilted up purposely for that spot to burn. I have wtched him do it. Natural instinct to cure itself of something???

Has the room temperature been colder than normal? Or has his food been larger than it used to be? Has he been spending more time in the basking area than he usually does? It looks like a burn to me, but I don't have any experience with that type of injury. Hopefully someone with more experience can give you a better idea of what it is, how to treat it and why it happened.

Looks like a burn to me. My veiled had a bruise before and it didn't look anything like that. Doesn't mean that it isn't but the way you describe him basking makes me lean forwards burn
