Black Indigo

Well I caught a Black Indigo about four days ago,at a ranch.Its a really nice snake,its about 5 and a half maybe 6 feet long.But,it looks like it has recently been shotbut did not go straight through,just along the muscle on the side.Just wondering if they are dosile creatures cause this guy only moves once it awhile.Also,does any know of a good ointment to put on it as being the holiday and cant take it to the vet.

I think thats a endangered and protected species in texas. You should find out and then maybe contact wildlife officals. Thats a very cool and smart snake and its a shame that someone would shoot it. goodluck hope it lives

Yeah I did hear that this snake is endangered,but am I doing right by having it at home or will it benifit from being loose?

dont let it go..it could become prey since its injured...contact wildlife agence

Technically threatened (protected at the state level).

Call someone at the region 10 office (warden or similar)
