Black Scab - Help - What is this?

Hi everyone,

A week or two ago I noticed this little black scab looking thing on Abe's elbow. I'm not 100% sure if this was here when he arrived (about three weeks ago) from the breeder or not. Anyway, I have been keeping an eye on it to see if it got worse, or better. I would say it has not really changed much, but isn't improving either.

Does anyone know what could have caused this? If so, any treatment ideas? The only thing I could think of was perhaps a burn from heated screen near the basking light (which was sitting on top of the screen until I noticed this - now it is suspended). Or perhaps a feeder bite? However I do ensure all feeders are removed before he goes to bed.

Anyway, I have attached pictures. All thoughts are appreciated. As far as my husbandry goes, I feel it is all in tip top shape, but if anyone would like me to post the health form, I would be happy to.

Thanks!

i think posting the health form would be great, just to check out in case there is anything we notice that coulld have caused it!!
to me it looks like a small burn in an unusual spot, but i am no expert so other opinions are certainly needed!!

Just a quick update. Abe had a shed today. After the shed this area looks much better. It seems to be healed, with a slight mark left over. It may never go away, but at this point it seems to be closed and certainly improving :)
